Homemade Egg Face Mask Recipes
There are many wonderful anti-aging egg face mask recipes that you can make yourself. A DIY egg facial is a fabulous rejuvenating facial treatment that tightens and firms the skin while providing many of the nutrients and vitamins that the skin so desperately needs in order to maintain its health.
An egg white face mask works to tighten, firm and shrink pores. The basic recipe couldn't be easier. Simply whip an egg white until it is frothy and apply it to the face with a brush (a cheap paint brush works well) and wait 20 to 30 minutes until it dries. Then you peel it off! It's such a quick, easy, and a ridiculously cheap way to soften and provide your skin with valuable nutrients.
You can easily add ingredients to the whipped egg white to create an even more beneficial facial treatment. For example, you can dissolve 5 plain generic aspirin in a few teaspoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and add it to the basic egg white recipe to treat oily and/or acne prone skin.
Dry skin types can add a teaspoon of coconut oil or any nut oil to the egg whites to create an enriching, moisturizing, hydrating mask.
The whole egg can be used as well. Simply whisk the egg, add a few teaspoons of oatmeal and a little bit of honey. The anti-inflammatory and emollient properties of all of these ingredients are beneficial for sensitive skin types.
Finally, all skin types can benefit from using the egg yolk whipped with salt or sugar provides a wonderful protein rich rejuvenating treatment for toning.
Adding a packet of unflavored, plain gelatin to any of these egg face mask recipes will help the mask set faster and add an enhance the tightening, firming effect.
